The Ethics of Telemental Health
What: This course will address the ethics of telehealth for mental health providers using vignettes, literature review, and discussion. It covers all required CEU's for renewal licensure by the BBS.
When: Training is divided into two 1.5 hour sessions
Part 1: Tuesday - Oct 3, 2023 at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm pst
Part 2: Friday - Oct 6, 2023 at 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm pst

Participants will Learn...
- To define terminology basic to telemental health, computers, and technology
- To differentiate 3 types of computer security measures
- To identify common ethical nuances of telehealth service delivery
- To describe best practices in telemental health.
- To recognize risk management and ethical conduct in telemental health with children, couples, families, groups.
- To describe supervision via videoconferencing.
- To identify relevant information related to telehealth from ethics codes from the NASW, APA, and ACA.
Accredited by CAMFT
Course Completion certificates will be awarded at the end of the course in exchange for a completed evaluation form.

About the Trainer...
Chay Tanchanco, LMFT, is a clinician with Zyla Care, and has been practicing as a marriage and family therapist for 5 years. She exclusively works as a telemental health provider. Her Masters thesis focused on assisting youth to pair digital knowledge and ethics (digital citizenship) with emotional and social intelligence.
