An in-depth introduction to Internal Family Systems during a weekend retreat get-away.
We warmly welcome you to join us for an introduction to the Internal Family Systems model through didactic learning and an experiential exploration of our own internal system of parts. This course is designed for therapists. However, motivated healthcare professionals and coaches are welcome to request to attend as well. No prior IFS knowledge is required. This weekend course will offer you a basic introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS) and can serve as a helpful primer for the more in-depth Level 1 Training through the IFS Institute.
When: Friday, September 1 – Monday, September 4, 2023 (Labor Day Weekend)
Where: Mount Madonna Retreat Center, 445 Summit Rd, Watsonville, CA
Cost: $800. Cost is for the course only. Please book your meals & accommodations through this form via Mount Madonna. Please keep in mind that the accommodation fees include 8 meals and 3 nights accommodation, and that the day use / commuter fees include 8 meals.

Saturday, Sept 2
9-10am: History and Theory of IFS model (didactic) 10-11am: Brunch
*11am-1pm: Theory and Assumptions of IFS Model (didactic), Parts Mapping (didactic and experiential)
1-2pm: Break with snack in Conference Room hallway
*2-5pm: Working with Protectors (didactic), Unblending from Parts (didactic and experiential), Live demonstration of the model with debrief / group discussion.

Sunday, Sept 3
9:30am-12pm: Unblending: Theory (didactic) and Practice (experiential), Flow of the Model (didactic), The 6 F’s (didactic) 12-1pm Lunch
*1:30-3:30pm: Direct Access (didactic and demonstration), Interviewing a Protector (Experiential) 3:30-3:45pm: Break
*3:45-5:15pm: The Healing Steps (didactic), Video demonstration
